Vicks Vaporub VS. Lexi

Last Friday night mommy put some Vicks babyrub on Lexi to help her breathe with her cold. Well after mommy left the room Lexi decided that she needed more. Mommy went to go check on Lexi before she went to bed and found Lexi sitting up in bed groggy and high. At first mommy didn't realize what Lexi had done and Lexi was mumbling to mommy. Mommy was trying to figure out what she was saying and finally she did, Lexi was saying "can't find lid". Then mommy sees the now empty vicks container in her bed, turned on the light and saw vicks all over Lexi's face, chest, hair and clothes. Mommy FREAKED out!!! So we called Poison Control got our instructions which were to make sure she can swallow, bathe her, and watch her every 20minutes while she sleeps. They also said it was a good thing we had bought the babyrub rather than the original because its contains less harmful ingredients. Lexi was fine during the night we don't think she ate any of it but at the time we weren't sure. I recommend buying the babyrub if you don't have it already and a reminder no matter how good your child is about getting into things always keep medicine out of their reach. That is my lesson and also I suggest to get some anti-anxiety medication for those of you that freak out like I do. I had a full anxiety attack during all of this and really was not much help to Rob in the beginning. We of course didn't get any pics of Lexi with the vaporub on her but here is the empty container.

Oh, sorry Alaina. I've been putting the real deal on Emmy too, so I better watch out. The same thing happened to my sister in law except her daughter rubbed it all over her room too.
