For Lexi's birthday I had this great idea (from a magazine) to fill Lexi's entire room with helium balloons. I bought a package of 72 balloons, had the ribbon all cut out and ready to tie on, we had a helium tank....but it was just about empty and I did not figure this out until 10pm the night before her birthday. So we were able to get a few balloons up and the rest we just put on the floor. We also had put together her birthday present (a dollhouse) and put it in her room while she was sleeping. Being the great mom that I am...LOL I set my alarm clock for 5:45 on her birthday so I could sit outside of her room waiting to get pictures of her when she woke up and saw the balloons and dollhouse. It was sooo worth it! She was so surprised!
Lexi had school that day so I made brownies for her to take to her friends. She got to wear a special birthday pin and the kids sang to her. In the evening we picked up her BFF Kayla and we took them out to dinner at Red Robin. They sang to her and brought her a sundae and Kayla got one too. After dinner the girls went back to our house for a sleepover. They rode in Lexi's new car around the block and then went inside to play dress up and barbies. Of course they had to watch a movie and eat popcorn and didn't go to bed until 10:30. They stayed up and talked until 11:00, mostly about Disneyland which is what they always talk about when they are together. Lexi had a great birthday and she deserved it because she is a great girl!!
