Lexi competed her first solo at KAR. Her category was musical theater and the song is New Philosophy. This was the perfect first solo for her. She has been wanting to do a solo for over a year now. She spent half a year last year taking private lessons to help with her technique and this year she was ready. She said she was nervous when she walked on stage and was waiting for her song to start but then she was not nervous. She is such a natural on stage. I just love to watch her. I was so nervous my whole body was shaking and I had to hold on to the chair in front of me. Of course the tears were flowing. We are all so proud of her and can't wait to see her perform this dance several more times this year.
