According to the 3 day potty training bootcamp book I should have a fully potty trained toddler....YA RIGHT!!! I just want to know who ever said a 2 year old should be potty trained?? I mean really?? This is worse than having newborn. For all of you moms out there that are wondering when you should start, my advice is wait as long as you can!!!! Diapers are wonderful!!!!
Last night after I put Lexi down she would call out and say "mommy need to go potty" so I would get her we would go to the bathroom, she pulls down her underwear, sits on the potty and then says no potty. We did this every 5 min. for an hour!!!! Finally at 11:00 she peed and then went to sleep. Rob woke her up and tried to get her to pee at 1:30 before he went to bed and she refused but an hour later woke up crying and had peed everywhere. We changed her and the bed and then she started all over again calling out saying she had to pee only to go in the bathroom and say "no potty." I eventually went in her room to sleep we did this again for another hour and finally I told her to go by herself. Of course she just walked into the bathroom and then walked back out. After that I just told her she didn't have to go and go to sleep. She did. By this time it's about 4 or so. I woke her up at 6 to try and pee. She gets into the bathroom and is crying saying "no potty". She didn't go we went back to bed and about an hour later she had peed her bed. She was still halfway asleep so I left her there and went back to sleep myself. We finally woke up at about 10am. All day long today though she has been pulling these false alarms. I am not even joking it is every 5 minutes usually for an hour and then she will go pee. Same thing tonight before she went to bed exept I gave up and told her to go in there by herself and she did actually go potty without me in there before bed. Good points are she went by herself today and she had dry underwear all day. Bad points we spent probably half the day sitting in the bathroom. Oh and again no poop. Any advice?????????? I am thinking about pull ups for the night.

I just started the potty training thing, too.
We definately do the diaper at bed time, but not nap time. She is peeing a full load right before nap, and usually, not always stays dry during nap. If she sleeps more that 2 hours, it's iffy.
But night time is just too ...hmm....tiring for mommy and it is not worth it for me to try to get her back to sleep once she pees.
Daytime no accidents today, day 2, but we still have half the day left. Day one was one accident on the way home from the park.
Good Luck and Hang in there.
