surgery day

Lexi and Hailey had their first surgical procedures last week. Both of them had ear tubes placed and then Lexi had her adenoids removed. Mommy was VERY nervous for Lexi's procedure. She went under general anesthesia and was intubated. Both of them did awesome!! The OR nurse told us we have great kids. Neither one of them were scared or cried. Lexi walked right back to the OR, hopped up on the OR table and was talking to the nurse the entire time. It was sad to see her come out of the OR with oxygen on, an IV, and she was coughing a lot. The only time she cried the entire time we were there was when they took the tape off to removed her IV. Lexi had a rough couple of days after the procedure. She had some neck pain and she has had a stiff neck since the procedure. She is doing much better now. After Hailey's procedure she went home with grandma Nancy and was held and spoiled all day. Hailey had no problems after her procedure. Mommy is SOOOOO glad all of this is over!
