Christmas Eve 2010

Christmas Eve started off this year with santa's elves leaving a present on the doorstep for the girls. It was their annual Christmas pjs that santa gives the girls to wear. Lexi was really excited about it this year. She even said to me a few weeks before Christmas "I wonder what jammies santa will bring me this year". I was actually surprised she remembered from last year. Both of the girls like Dora right now so Santa brought them Dora Christmas jammies. In the afternoon we had daddy's family over the celebrate Christmas at our house. This was our first hosting event in the new house. It turned out well and we had plenty of room for everyone. We ate lunch then headed to the living room to open presents. Before we opened up presents we played a game RIGHT and LEFT. I have played this game before at baby showers but this story was about Christmas. It is sooo much fun. We passed around a candy cane while Auntie Connie read the story. Lexi even played this game and she did really well with knowing her right and left. We then played the White Elephant game which was boring until the last person stole a gift and then the stealing began. I think most of us were happy with what we got though. After the presents were opened the kids went out back with daddy and played a little football. We had a good time .
Before we went to bed we made sure to set out some cookies and milk for santa. Santa loves mommy's sugar cookies...LOL!!! Lexi and Hailey both picked out the cookies for santa. Then it was off to bed.
